NEW OLD STOCK. The tags are still on it.
I could not believe it when I opened the package. The original German retail tags are still attached, completely intact. The jacket is unworn — the zipper slides perfectly, the nylon is uncreased, the colors are as vivid as the day they were made. This is a museum piece that you can actually wear.
The collar is everything
That collar is MASSIVE. In the best way. The acetate fabric catches light differently than anything you can buy today — you can tell immediately it's not modern polyester satin. Wore this to a 70s disco night and everyone thought I'd rented a costume. I told them I bought a shirt for ₹1,799.
This flannel weighs more than my new jacket
Seriously — the weight of this fabric is incredible. Modern 'flannels' are thin, barely-there cotton-poly blends. This is 280gsm+ genuine brushed cotton. You can feel the quality immediately. The red and black tartan hasn't faded at all. Tying it around the waist is the only way to wear it.
The cracked graphic is perfect
I've seen so many 'vintage-style' tees online that fake the cracking with distressed printing. You can always tell. This is the real thing — the ink has flexed with the fabric over 35+ years and cracked in the way only real aging produces. The feel of the fabric is also completely different from anything modern.
The real thing — you can feel the difference
I've been collecting vintage for 8 years. This is genuinely 60s — the single-stitch construction, the weight of the cotton, the way the graphic has aged. Not the cheap DTG fakes you see everywhere. The Retro Verse authentication team clearly knows what they're looking at. Came wrapped nicely, fast delivery. Bought two more pieces already.
I've been looking for real bell-bottoms for years
Modern brands make 'flare jeans' with maybe 10-12 inches of flare. These have a genuine 18-inch bell — the kind that actually sweeps the floor and makes that swooshing sound when you walk. The selvedge weave is stiff initially but softens beautifully. Worth every rupee.
The jacket that goes with everything
I've worn this with a printed kurti, with a hoodie, with a dress, with track pants. It literally goes with everything. The stone-wash light blue is softer and more versatile than darker denim. The quilted lining inside is a surprising bonus — actually warm. Best vintage purchase I've made.
Arrived looking like it came straight from 1967
I ordered this for a 60s theme party and completely outshone everyone else there. But it's too good to just wear once — the wool-blend holds its shape beautifully and the geometric print is striking. The sizing was spot on once I checked the measurements (vintage S = modern XS, so go up one).
Perfect for events, surprisingly wearable daily
Bought this thinking it would be a costume piece. Ended up wearing it to a rooftop dinner, just tucked into high-waisted trousers with a thin belt. Got stops all night. The electric blue photographs incredibly well — and in person it shimmers differently than in photos. Very happy.
The colors are insane in real life
The photos don't do it justice. That neon pink hits differently in person — it's practically fluorescent. The color blocking is bold and the jacket has that satisfying crinkle that only original 80s nylon has. Bought it for ironic wear, now I actually love it unironically.
Tour dates on the back are incredibly detailed
I zoomed in on the back and the venue names and dates are all there — this isn't a reproduction. The print is faded but legible. The whole tee has this incredible worn-in softness that took decades to develop. Worth the price for sure.
Exactly what I've been searching for
I've been hunting for a genuine 90s flannel for two years. Most vintage stores have thin, worn-out versions. This one came in exceptional condition — heavyweight, vivid colors, all buttons intact. The double-button cuff is a detail I didn't know I needed until I had it.
Got so many compliments
Wore this to a flea market event and four different people stopped me to ask where I got it. The faded graphic and the cotton weight are just different from anything new. Sizing tip: I'm usually a modern L, the vintage L fits perfectly. Follow the measurements and you'll be fine.
These are the real deal
I know what 70s denim looks and feels like — my grandfather had a pair I used to pull out of his trunk as a kid. These are exactly that. The indigo runs slightly darker in person than photos. The high rise took some getting used to but now I can't imagine these jeans any other way.
The proportions are perfect for oversized styling
The dropped shoulders and boxy fit make this the perfect layering piece. I sized up to an L (normally a S-M) for the oversized 90s fit and it's exactly right. The American construction is evident in the denim quality and hardware. Snaps and buttons are all solid.
The quality is unmatched
I've tried 'vintage inspired' dresses from fast fashion brands. This is a completely different thing. The fabric has weight. The zipper is smooth. The seams are precise. This is what clothes used to cost and why — actual quality, not just a look.
Bought as a gift, absolutely loved
My boyfriend is obsessed with 80s rock music. Bought him this as a birthday surprise. He literally teared up a little when he saw it. Said he couldn't believe he was holding an actual 1987 tour tee. Retro Verse packed it beautifully in a cotton bag. Will definitely buy more pieces.
Shipped fast, quality exceeded expectations
Ordered on Monday, received Thursday — fast shipping considering I'm in Hyderabad. The jacket arrived in a dust bag and the quality was immediately apparent. The denim is thick, the wash is even, the hardware has no rust. At ₹3,499 for a genuine 90s denim jacket in this condition, this is a steal.
Brilliant find, slightly short in the torso
The windbreaker is genuinely from the era and in spectacular condition. My only note is that 80s proportions are boxy and slightly shorter in the body than modern cuts. I'm 5'10 and it sits just above the hip — exactly where it should sit for the era, but worth knowing if you prefer longer outerwear.
Beautiful piece, packaging could be better
The tee itself is exactly as described — gorgeous aging, real 60s construction. Only reason for 4 stars is the packaging; I'd love more protective wrapping for pieces at this price. The piece arrived in great condition but I was nervous opening it. Will order again — the quality is worth it.
Great piece, authentic 90s sizing
Beautiful flannel, exactly as described. The only thing to note is it fits big — very 90s oversized proportions. I'm usually a modern M and the vintage M is roomy enough to layer over a hoodie. For the flannel-over-tee look, order your actual size. For the tied-around-the-waist look, order down.
Great shirt, runs vintage-large
The shirt is everything the description says. My only note is that the sizing runs true to vintage — which means smaller than modern. I ordered an L (I'm usually a modern L) and it was snug. Would have been better at XL. The Retro Verse team was helpful when I contacted them. Just go up a size.
